Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas Episcopal Saints vs. St. Francis Episcopal Wolves

Last Friday, everything came up roses for St. Thomas Episcopal against Rosehill Christian as the squad secured a 77-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Meanwhile, St. Francis Episcopal came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Eagles 88-63. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

St. Thomas Episcopal better keep an eye on John Laboy, II. He was instrumental in St. Francis Episcopal's win, going 12 of 20 on his way to 27 points. Laboy, II's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Christian Hodge, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

St. Francis Episcopal's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.9 points. As for St. Thomas Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

St. Thomas Episcopal was dealt a bruising 77-36 defeat at the hands of St. Francis Episcopal in their previous meeting two weeks ago. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Thomas Episcopal was down 42-15.
