Carson Melendy Delivers Best Effort of Season

Carson Melendy produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Churchill County to the win on Friday. Melendy rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

Churchill County now has a winning record of 5-4. Melendy and Churchill County will head out on the road to challenge Lowry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jace Estabrook and Co. Win 22nd in a Row

Jace Estabrook was instrumental in extending Truckee's winning streak to 22 on Friday. Estabrook turned in his biggest game of the season, throwing for 167 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

Sparks's probably not too fond of Estabrook given he always seems to get the better of them. When Estabrook last faced the Railroaders back in October of 2023, he rushed for 45 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 12 yards and a touchdown.

Big Game from Love As Fernley Fell 34-13

Keeshawn Love continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 130 rushing yards. He rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards.

If the past is any indication, Love could be in store for another big game when he takes on Sparks on Friday. When Love last faced the Railroaders back in October of 2023, he rushed for 135 yards on only 15 carries.

Joseph Bright Turns in Season-Best Effort

Joseph Bright produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Spring Creek to the win on Friday. Bright rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August. Spring Creek is 2-1 when Bright posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise.

Spring Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. Their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Elko at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Riley Mccullar Makes It Two for Fernley

The second Fernley player making an appearance here is Riley Mccullar, and for good reason. He rushed for 60 yards.

On the season, Mccullar has averaged 20.1 receiving yards per game.
