The Liberty Union Lions will face off against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Liberty Union turned things around against Hamilton Township on Monday. They skirted past the Rangers 3-2. The game was the first time the Lions have beaten the Rangers on their field since May 2, 2022.

Tanner Farmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Liberty Union saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Thomas, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Justin Sisson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Bloom-Carroll strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 14-9 victory over Circleville. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Liberty Union's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Bloom-Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Liberty Union suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Bloom-Carroll in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
