Basketball Recap: Broughton Comes Up Short

Broughton lost against Highland back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The matchup between the Capitals and the Hawks didn't end well, with the Capitals falling 75-59. The Capitals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Broughton lost, don't look at Jordan Page. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Page's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. George Hatem was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Broughton's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Highland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Broughton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blue Ridge at 8:30 p.m. on December 4. As for Highland, they will square off against Friendship Tech Prep Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
