Basketball Recap: Broughton Takes a Loss

Broughton lost against Highland back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Capitals received a blow as they fell 75-59 to the Hawks. The Capitals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Broughton still got an impressive performance from Jordan Page, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. The game was Page's fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was George Hatem, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Broughton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Highland, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Broughton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blue Ridge at 8:30 p.m. on the 4th. As for Highland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-45 win against Friendship Tech Prep Academy on the 29th.
