Baseball Recap: Brainerd Comes Up Short

Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bledsoe County Warriors, falling 18-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-0 last Monday.

Brainerd's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bledsoe County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brainerd will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marion County at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Bledsoe County, they will venture away from home to face off against East Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bledsoe County knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully East Ridge likes a good challenge.
