Basketball Recap: Levi Mcveigh's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Glenwood City over Luck

Glenwood City lost against Luck back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Glenwood City Hilltoppers fell 60-51 to the Luck Cardinals.

Glenwood City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi McVeigh, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. Brody Olson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Even though they lost, Glenwood City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Glenwood City now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Luck, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Glenwood City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-53 victory against Lake Holcombe on the 6th. As for Luck, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Luck Cardinals take on the Webster Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Luck is facing Webster at the right time seeing as Webster is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
