Basketball Recap: Waco's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Waco entered their tilt with Taylor on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Taylor Ducks 56-37. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Taylor still got an impressive performance from Kadrien Deary, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds. Those five rebounds gave Deary a new career-high. TJ Whybrew was another key player, putting up four points.

Waco's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8. As for Taylor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Waco will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gatesville at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Taylor, they will take on Marlin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
