Basketball Recap: Ross Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waynesville, Ross was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 39-33 W over the Edgewood Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella Allen, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Allen is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Verhoff, who scored nine points and five boards.

The win got Ross back to even at 1-1. As for Edgewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Ross will take on Loveland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edgewood, they will face off against Tri-Village at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
