Baseball Game Preview: Stevens Falcons vs. Lockhart Lions

The Stevens Falcons will head out to take on the Lockhart Lions at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Stevens is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Corpus Christi Moody on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eli Montes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lockhart also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Anderson by a score of 8-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Lockhart saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Waylon Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Phillips brought in this season.

Stevens' record is now 2-2. As for Lockhart, their record is now 1-3.
