Carrick waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles, sneaking past 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Eagles back in April, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Eli Wittmann made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Wittmann wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was William Garrett, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Carrick pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Obama Academy of International Studies, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1.

As of now, neither Carrick nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
