The Foundation Christian Academy Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Northside Christian Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Foundation Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Santa Fe Catholic on Monday. The Panthers never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Makayla Howard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Kiptynn Barron was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of McKay Barron, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Eagles 12-1. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
Like Foundation Christian Academy, Northside Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Hanley Medina. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Medina has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Northside Christian got a massive performance out of Macy SMith, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Maiya Busch, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
Northside Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Northside Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Foundation Christian Academy, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Foundation Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Northside Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
