Basketball Game Preview: Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs vs. Delta Rabbits

The Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs will face off against the Delta Rabbits at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Judge Memorial Catholic fought the good fight in their overtime match against American Heritage on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 72-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite their loss, Judge Memorial Catholic saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aymen Ismail, who posted 15 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Ismail has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Majak Deng, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 18 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Delta hadn't done well against Manti recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Delta came out on top against Manti by a score of 68-60. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rabbits.

Delta's win came from a few key players Judge Memorial Catholic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Cleaver, who went 5 of 6 to rack up 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Bronco Bundy was another key player, going 6 for 11 en route to 17 points.

Delta's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Judge Memorial Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Delta in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win.
