Baseball Recap: Higley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Millennium

There's no place like home for Higley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Millennium Tigers by a score of 11-6 on Monday. The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Alan Macias tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Cam Jantz was incredible, firing off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-3. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. Ty Henze also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Higley lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Higley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Millennium, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Higley will take on Resurrection Christian in a tournament on Thursday. Higley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Resurrection Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Millennium, they will take on Mountain Ridge at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Millennium is facing Mountain Ridge at the right time seeing as Mountain Ridge is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
