Basketball Recap: Pocahontas County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pocahontas County entered their tilt with Richwood on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 59-38 margin over the Richwood Lumberjacks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-25 back in December of 2024.

Pocahontas County pushed their record up to 7-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Richwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Looking ahead, Pocahontas County will take on Webster County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Webster County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Richwood, they will face off against Montcalm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Montcalm knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Richwood likes a good challenge.
