Football Game Preview: Plainfield South Cougars vs. Yorkville Foxes + How To Watch

The Plainfield South Cougars will head out to challenge the Yorkville Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Plainfield South is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Plainfield East on Friday. The Cougars snuck past the Bengals with a 33-28 victory. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Yorkville strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Oswego by a score of 16-6. Surprisingly, this marked the Foxes' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Yorkville's win came from a few key players Plainfield South will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jack Beetham, who rushed for 27 yards and one score, and also threw for 85 yards and one touchdown. T.J. Harland helped out on the ground, rushing for 119 yards.

Plainfield South's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Yorkville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Plainfield South skirted past Yorkville 3-0 in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Foxes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
