Softball Game Preview: St. Paul Flyers vs. South Central Trojans

For the second straight game, St. Paul will face off against South Central. The Flyers will head out to take on the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

St. Paul will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating South Central, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Flyers blew past the Trojans 12-2 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Flyers.

Taegan Mansfield-Bush made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI and one double.

In other batting news, St. Paul got a massive performance out of Ryleigh Mansfield-Bush, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Kalizewski, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

St. Paul hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Central struck out ten times.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for St. Paul, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
