Recap: Jackson Fighting Indians vs. Notre Dame Bulldogs
The Jackson Fighting Indians came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 victory over Notre Dame. Jackson pushed the score to 53-31 by the end of the third, a deficit Notre Dame cut but never quite recovered from.
Blayne Harris had an outrageously good game as he scored 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Judd Thoma, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Jackson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Notre Dame, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Jackson will head out on the road to take on Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Charleston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. Notre Dame will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dexter at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th.
