Softball Recap: Harford Tech Takes Down Joppatowne in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Harford Tech rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Joppatowne Mariners an 8-0 shutout. The Cobras haven't had any issues with the Mariners recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Alexandria Kurth's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mikayla McJilton, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Shiloh Wall was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Harford Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
