Football Recap: Paetow Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Paetow dropped to 4-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a blow against the Katy Tigers, falling 55-21. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Tigers are ranked 60th).

Jaiden Noel threw for 100 yards and one touchdown. Derek Stevenson was his top target, picking up 97 receiving yards.

As for Katy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Tremayne Hill, who rushed for 183 yards and three scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 52 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Hartwell, who rushed for 38 yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Paetow will challenge rival Katy Taylor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Katy is set to square off against their familiar foe Tompkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 980 yards in their previous games.
