Basketball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton lost against Anadarko back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Clinton Red Tornadoes took a hard 48-29 fall against the Anadarko Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Red Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Warriors are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Clinton and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Anadarko, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will square off against Woodward at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodward knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Clinton likes a good challenge. As for Anadarko, they are taking a road trip to take on Wewoka at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anadarko is facing Wewoka at the right time seeing as Wewoka is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
