The Grove City Christian Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Liberty Union Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grove City Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 551 points over their last eight games.

In what's become a running theme this season, Grove City Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Miller with a sharp 81-59 win. Given Grove City Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Falcons are ranked 696th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grove City Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Vaughn, who scored 29 points. Vaughn hasn't dropped below 17 points for ten straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Ransom, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds.

Liberty Union can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They strolled past Amanda-Clearcreek with points to spare, taking the game 61-42. Liberty Union pushed the score to 48-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Aces cut but never quite recovered from.

Grove City Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Liberty Union, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Grove City Christian came up short against the Lions in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 58-50. Can Grove City Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
