Volleyball Recap: Concord Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Concord came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the South Rowan Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 25-17.

Isabell Bishop paced Concord's offense, picking up five kills. Bishop got some help from Adeline Fulton and her ten assists. Fulton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Campbell Withers had a dynamite game For South Rowan., getting 17 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Danica Krieg, who had five kills, four digs, and two blocks.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for South Rowan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Concord didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Salisbury on the 30th. As for South Rowan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against East Rowan on the 30th.
