Volleyball Recap: Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Monte Vista Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Monday.

Cristo Rey's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Monte Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Cristo Rey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Ocean View Christian on the 3rd. As for Monte Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Hoover on the 30th.
