Volleyball Recap: Miami Country Day Has No Trouble Against Avant Garde Academy

It's playoff time, and Miami Country Day had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Avant Garde Academy Sharks with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sharks, too.

Rachael Luis paced Miami Country Day's offense, picking up 12 kills. Luis got some help from Madeline Sinnes and her 25 assists. Kendall Fugate controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Miami Country Day now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Avant Garde Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Looking ahead, Miami Country Day will take on Chaminade-Madonna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. Avant Garde Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
