Basketball Recap: West Nassau's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If West Nassau was feeling good fresh off their 37-9 takedown of Englewood last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a hard 57-43 fall against the Clay Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Clay was led to victory by Teaghan Moses and Alia Chmura. Moses posted 15 points and four steals, while Chmura dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Moses is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Addison Lilly, who earned six points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Nassau fell to 2-1. As for Clay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Looking ahead, West Nassau will face off against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-20 victory against Global Outreach Charter Academy on the 3rd.
