Volleyball Game Preview: Newtown Pioneers vs. Bryant Owls

The Newtown Pioneers are taking a road trip to take on the Bryant Owls at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Newtown is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Flushing just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Bryant also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Aviation by a score of 2-0. The Owls have struggled against the Flyers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Newtown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Newtown was able to grind out a solid win over Bryant in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Owls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
