Basketball Recap: BASIS Comes Up Short

BASIS lost against Washington Latin Public Charter School back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The BASIS Red Giants took a blow against the Washington Latin Public Charter School Lions, falling 67-38. The Red Giants were down 57-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, BASIS still got an impressive performance from Timothy Chamberlain II, who posted 21 points. The match was Chamberlain II's 32nd in a row with at least ten points. Samuel Tucker was another key player, putting up nine points.

It was another big night for Connor Smith, who earned 30 points for Washington Latin Public Charter School. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Nixon, who scored 12 points.

BASIS's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they moved to 3-12 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

BASIS didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-33 defeat against E.L. Haynes on the 30th. As for Washington Latin Public Charter School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-25 loss against DC International on the 30th.
