Olivia Hamlin was her usual excellent self, going 11-for-19 to rack up 24 points and four steals. The contest was her 49th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Falynn Randall, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points and four steals.
Snow Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Green Canyon walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Timberwolves with a sharp 62-40 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wolves have posted since December 17, 2024.
Snow Canyon better focus on containing Talyssa Nelson and Kloey Tensmeyer as the pair were huge in Green Canyon's win. Nelson went 6-for-10 on her way to 18 points, while Tensmeyer went 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. What's more, Nelson also posted a 57% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Eliza Seedall was another key player, putting up four points and nine boards.
Green Canyon's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Snow Canyon, their victory was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-0.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Snow Canyon has been crazy accurate this season, having nailed 50.5% of their field goals per game. It's a different story for Green Canyon, though, as they've only made 32.8% of their shots this season. Given Snow Canyon's sizable advantage in that area, Green Canyon will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Snow Canyon against Green Canyon in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-42 win. Does Snow Canyon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Green Canyon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
