Baseball Game Preview: Dreher Blue Devils vs. South Pointe Stallions

For the second straight game, Dreher will face off against South Pointe. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dreher has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while South Pointe will come in with nine straight wins.

Dreher managed to slip by South Pointe the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils lost 16-0 to the Stallions on Tuesday.

For South Pointe's part, Ben Lee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Lee was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lance Whitaker, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Colton Willis also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
