Recap: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Army-Navy Warriors
The Patrick Henry Patriots's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took down Army-Navy 52-34. Given Patrick Henry's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while Army-Navy is ranked 1157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Patrick Henry had a senior duo take command as Kenneth Klu scored 20 points along with seven assists and five rebounds and Derek McBride scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Klu has scored at least 25% of Patrick Henry's points. Jonas DeWitt was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Patrick Henry now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Army-Navy, their defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will square off against Hoover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Army-Navy, they will head out on the road to face off against Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Classical Academy has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 14.
