Odin/Patoka extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Odin/Patoka vs. Waltonville Spartans

Odin/Patoka suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 62-42 loss at the hands of Waltonville. While losing is never fun, Odin/Patoka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while Waltonville is ranked 164th).

Leading Waltonville to victory were Gage Peterson and Kyle Cooper. Peterson scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Cooper scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. That's the first time this season that Cooper posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Seth Karnes, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Odin/Patoka bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Waltonville, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Odin/Patoka will head out on the road to take on Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waltonville, they will take on Woodlawn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
