Volleyball Recap: Amplus Academy Archers vs. Spring Valley Grizzlies
Amplus Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Spring Valley Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Amplus Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Spring Valley work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 26-24.
Addyson Rambow paced Amplus Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Rambow got some help from Jett Giannola and her 14 assists. Isabella Romani controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Spring Valley was led to victory by Kelsea Baer and Mackenzie Means. Baer had 11 digs and five assists, while Means had 13 assists and four digs. That's the most digs Baer has posted since back in August.
Amplus Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Spring Valley, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 16-11.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Amplus Academy will square off against rival Sierra Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Spring Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Clark at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
