Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Los Fresnos' Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Los Fresnos won the last time they faced Hanna, and Gio Galvan did his part to make sure it happened again. The Los Fresnos Falcons breezed by the Hanna Golden Eagles to the tune of 68-39 on Tuesday thanks in part to Galvan, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Eric Salazar, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Los Fresnos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 33.5% in those games and 31.1% outside of them. As for Hanna, they moved to 23-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing San Benito the next time they take the court. Hanna will head out to face San Benito at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Los Fresnos will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th.
