Basketball Recap: Parkview Baptist Comes Up Short

Parkview Baptist lost against Zachary back in January of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Parkview Baptist Eagles were outmatched by the Zachary Broncos and fell 86-50. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Broncos are ranked third).

Xavier Ferguson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Zachary, going 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Edmond, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Parkview Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Zachary, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-3.

Parkview Baptist has already played their next game, a 56-53 loss against University Lab on the 28th. As for Zachary, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-42 win against East St. John on the 28th.
