Basketball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech Falls Short of Leto in the Playoffs

Tampa Bay Tech and Leto squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Tampa Bay Tech had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 67-53 to the Leto Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-67 back in January.

Muhammed Perez had a dynamite game for Leto, going 11 for 17 on his way to 30 points. Perez is becoming a predictor of Leto's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 4-2 (and 4-15 when he doesn't). Jakobe Bruton was another key player, putting up 15 points and five boards.

Tampa Bay Tech has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Leto, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-17.

Tampa Bay Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leto, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-55 victory against Bloomingdale on the 5th.
