Soccer Game Preview: Lake Central vs. Crown Point

The Lake Central Indians will face off against the Crown Point Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lake Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Munster get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Lake Central's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Meanwhile, Crown Point came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Brickies with a sharp 5-1 win.

Crown Point hit Hobart with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brayden Kurtz (2), Liam Bazin (2), and Nolan Babcock.

Lake Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-4-1. As for Crown Point, their win bumped their record up to 11-5-3.

Lake Central skirted past Crown Point 2-1 when the teams last played back in August. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
