Volleyball Recap: Parkway South's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Parkway South came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Webster Groves Statesmen with a sharp 3-0 victory. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Statesmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Parkway South not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Webster Groves between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

Owen Darrough paced Parkway South's offense, picking up 11 kills. Darrough got some help from Caden Rushing and his 22 assists. Darrough was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Parkway South's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Webster Groves, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Parkway South will look to defend their home court on Monday against Christian Brothers at 5:15 p.m. As for Webster Groves, they will challenge St. Dominic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
