Soccer Game Preview: Colony vs. Dimond

Colony hasn't had much luck against Dimond recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Knights will square off against the Lynx at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Colony is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Service 2-1. The result kept Colony happy, as they haven't lost a game since May 2nd.

Meanwhile, Dimond faced West Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Lynx's defense stepped up to hand the Wolf Pack a 5-0 shutout. Dimond might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by four goals or more this season.

The victory (which was Dimond's fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-1-1. As for Colony, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

Colony might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Dimond in their previous matchup back in April. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 4-0.
