Preview: Hodgeman County Longhorns vs. Pawnee Heights Tigers
Hodgeman County is 9-0 against Pawnee Heights since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Hodgeman County Longhorns will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pawnee Heights Tigers at 3:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Hodgeman County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. The game between Hodgeman County and Meade wasn't particularly close, with Hodgeman County falling 44-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hodgeman County has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Hodgeman County got a solid performance out of Casey Schaffer, who scored 12 points.
Pawnee Heights suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against South Gray, falling 57-20. While losing is never fun, Pawnee Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while South Gray is ranked 13th).
Hodgeman County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Pawnee Heights, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
