Softball Recap: Templeton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Templeton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wasco Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Templeton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Fiorenza, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Templeton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Wasco, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8-1.

Templeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wasco, they will take on Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
