Softball Game Preview: Kimball Jaguars vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies

The Kimball Jaguars will head out to challenge the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Kimball fell victim to Lodi and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Flames, falling 11-0. The shutout was out of character for the Jaguars seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Meanwhile, Granite Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to Del Oro. Grizzlies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Golden Eagles since on Wednesday.

Granite Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Lincoln, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Kimball and nudges their season record down to 16-11. As for Granite Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12-1.

Granite Bay's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kimball hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329.
