Volleyball Recap: Beech Grove Comes Up Short

Beech Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Crawfordsville Athenians.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Alayna Hall was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and four assists. Those four assists gave her a new career-high. Makayla Whitecotton also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Beech Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Crawfordsville, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record.

Looking ahead, Beech Grove is taking a road trip to square off against Triton Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crawfordsville, their road trip will continue as they head out to face North Decatur at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
