Volleyball Recap: Bend Takes a Loss

Bend entered their matchup against Summit on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lava Bears fell just short of the Storm by a score of 3-2. The Lava Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Storm earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Bend's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-5. As for Summit, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bend will square off against Centennial at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Summit, they will take on South Albany in a tournament on Saturday.
