The Nicholas County Bluejackets will head out to take on the Henry County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Henry County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nicholas County, who comes in off a win.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Nicholas County and Augusta, and Nicholas County kept the tradition alive. The Bluejackets walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Panthers on Wednesday.
Corbin Fryman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Nicholas County is undefeated when he allows at most three earned runs, but 7-23 otherwise. Fryman was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Chandler Kenney was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Henry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of South Oldham.
Like Nicholas County, Henry County also got a great game from a two-way player: Baylor Nolin. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Nolin was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Nicholas Bryan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Nicholas County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-23 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Henry County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.
