Valor Christian and Mountain Vista squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Valor Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

While Valor Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Reed Fisk paced Valor Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Fisk got some help from Darren Wright and his 24 assists. Lincoln Jessen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Valor Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Mountain Vista, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.
