Softball Preview: South Fulton Red Devils vs. Peabody Golden Tide
For the second straight game, South Fulton will face off against Peabody. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Golden Tide at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Fulton is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
South Fulton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs last Monday, they were much more limited against Peabody on Monday. They lost 16-1 to the Golden Tide.
For Peabody's part, Haylee Barnett was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Barnett was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Peabody got a massive performance out of Kalli Hall, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Peabody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .759. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Peabody's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for South Fulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1.
