Basketball Recap: Mumford Takes a Loss

Mumford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Hamtramck Cosmos 86-43. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 57-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Mumford's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Hamtramck, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-15 record this season.

Mumford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hamtramck, they will be taking part in a tournament against University of Detroit Jesuit at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in University of Detroit Jesuit's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
