Basketball Game Preview: Battle Lake Battlers vs. Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors

Battle Lake is 1-9 against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Battle Lake Battlers will venture away from home to take on the Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors at 7:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Battle Lake is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were dealt a 69-38 loss at the hands of Underwood. While losing is never fun, the Battlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 331st, while the Rockets are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, Wheaton/Herman-Norcross was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 65-64 to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta.

Wheaton/Herman-Norcross' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Battle Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Battle Lake came up short against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 61-51. Can Battle Lake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
