Basketball Recap: Curie Takes a Loss

Curie suffered their closest loss since January 18, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Leaders In Our Neighborhood Lions by a score of 21-19. Curie was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Leaders In Our Neighborhood apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Curie and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Leaders In Our Neighborhood, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Curie will be playing in front of their home fans against American Studies at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. American Studies will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Curie surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leaders In Our Neighborhood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 99-0 victory against Wings Academy on the 11th.
